Like any international travel you got to make sure you and everyone in your party have a valid passport.

On top of that, US, Canada and Australia citizens need a visa for Brazil as of April 10, 2025. You can apply online for an E-Visa (Electronic Visa) through the official portal Brazil Evisa or third party websites that help you through the process. The visa is good for 1 year for stays up to 90 days, requiring a valid passport, photo, flight confirmation, and a processing fee. The e-Visa process is typically faster than traditional consulate applications, taking about 10 business days, so apply well in advance of your trip.
